Spirit Efflorescence Off
Efflorescence Off is a heavy duty commercial grade acid cleaner designed to remove stubborn efflorescence.
A commercial grade acid cleaner designed to remove stubborn efflorescence. It also is very
effective at removing rust, grout & hard water deposits.
- High strength blend of acids (stronger than our Phosphoric Acid Cleaner)
- Removes heavy grout haze
- Removes hard water deposits and rust stains
- Not for use on natural stone unless authorised by a Spirit representative
- Recommended to do a final rinse with our Spirit Neutral Cleaner after use

- Highly concentrated, dilutable up to 20:1
- Contains a combination of acids (does NOT contain hydrochloric acid)
- Breaks down built up efflorescence & other mineral based materials
Where to use
- Some natural stone surfaces such as Granite & Sandstone
- Terracotta, Tessellated Tiles
- Ceramic Tiles, Porcelain Tiles & grout joints
- Concrete & Concrete Pavers
Where not to use
- Acid sensitive stones like travertine, marble or limestone
Method of application
- Mix Efflorescence Off with clean water to the desired strength (see back of bottle for dilution rates)
- Sweep or vacuum the area to remove any loose debris
- Dampen the surface with clean water and then apply the solution
- Allow to sit/dwell for 3-5 minutes keeping the surface wet with the cleaner. Don’t let it dry
(Efflorescence Off can damage coloured pavers if left to dwell on the surface for too long) - Scrub with a nylon scouring pad or firm bristle brush
- Remove slurry and rinse with Spirit Neutral Cleaner to neutralise any residual acids
